The villa takes its name from the historic city of Solo in Central Java, known as the cradle of Javanese culture and renowned for its distinctive batiks. A contemporary Balinese design celebrates tropical living, with an open-sided living pavilion with soaring ceilings overlooking the swimming pool fringed in lush greenery. A spacious air-conditioned bedroom comes with sitting area, satellite TV and DVD player and delightful garden bathroom. Those looking for extra space can rent Villa Solo in conjunction with the adjacent two-bedroomed Villa Kawi, connected by a garden door.
Lakshmi - Toba
Named after the largest lake in Southeast Asia, Donau Toba, which nestles in an immense volcanic crater in North Sumatra, this villa boasts the biggest pool in the Lakshmi Villa enclave. This two-storey villa is the largest in the Lakshmi enclave and is named after the town of Ubud – the artistic and cultural heart of Bali. Built to a contemporary Balinese design, the villa is a celebration of elegant tropical living. Its open-sided living pavilion, with soaring rattan ceiling,is adorned with antiques and local artwork and overlooks the swimming pool. The upper-floor bedroom boasts a breezy private terrace, and the ground floor bedroom also serves as a TV lounge/study.
This self-contained accommodation includes a neat kitchenette equipped with a two-ring hob and a fridge, a dining area with a table for four, plus a living room that opens onto a furnished balcony overlooking the garden. Cool white fitted furniture, contemporary ikat-design textiles, vintage black & white photos and posters advertising Indonesia’s tourist treasures create a warm ambiance. In the stylish, earth-toned bedroom is a king-size bed set before a padded-textile wall, a desk area, plenty of storage space and an adjoining bathroom with a rain shower, single vanity and WC.
